rear main seal: Toyota Tom 900

Thanks a lot to ToyotaTom for taking the time to reply regarding my rear seal on the 92-960 inline 6 2.9 L. You have been very helpful. I had the front of the car on stands overnight and I am about 95% sure that the oil is coming from the inspection port in the bell housing and hence the rear seal is leaking. It is very difficult to see into the port, space is very tight no way to get a finger in. I was not able to see any oil spots higher up on the rear of the block but I could not see the back of the engine very well. Is it possible that the flame trap needs to be cleaned to stop the leaking? This is the B6304F engine and the info in the faq is limited wrt flame trap cleaning and rear seal replacement. Any suggestions where I could get this info. Also, is it possible to change the rear seal in my garage? In addition to a set of tools I have 4 stands, a jack, and ramps? Also, the area where all the hoses attach to the intake manifold near the throttle plate is very oily. What is causing all this oil to appear? Where is the PCV valve (if there is one)? The owner’s manual talks about “The orifice nipple in the intake manifold and the filter at the end of the PCV hose in the air cleaner should be inspected every 60 000 miles.” I am not able to identify these parts. Help!!!
