New Bosal Exhaust - pinhole leak - design flaw or on purpose? 700 1988

Hi All:

I just replaced my entire exhaust system with a Bosal - front to back from the Parts Bin.

After checking for exhaust leaks at all junctions, I noticed a pinhole in the bottom of the rear muffler (tailpipe area). I thought this was a poor weld, as it is leaking some exhaust!

My second thought was that a small pinhole could exist by design to expel accumlated water??? Or is it just a defective muffler???

Let me know if you have seen this before.
