Well, here's the deal. When my car flooded around 4 years ago, a bunch of stuff had to be done to the car before it would work again. It was flooded to roughly the level of the radio deck. In any case, one of the things that did not function was the airbag I believe. At this point, I'm not even sure if I have an airbag. When I start the car, the SRS light does NOT go on, and that really bothers me.
I've been putting it off for a bit because I don't have the $$ to replace the air bag at the moment if it turns out that the light was right a few years ago. But I need to start somewhere, so the first thing I want to figure out is: why isn't my SRS light even coming on now at all even during cranking? If I recall correctly, it used to come on, and then go out after a few seconds, indicating that it was functioning. After the flood, it just stayed on, so I'm not sure what my mechanics did, but the light doesn't light up at all now.
Thanks.
