Is the tranny suppose to do this 900 1991

I just bought a 91 940 turbo. Ohh god, wonderful car. I have noticed that when its cold outside and I drive the car for the first time of the day, 4 gear is delayed in its shift. I just takes a while for it to go into overdrive, kinda like its warming itself up. Is this normal or is there something wrong? Thanks a lot fellow bricksters- Jason.
