Rough running, bad o2 sensor reading on a recently changed sensor 900 1995

1995 1960

A few months back the check engine light kept faulting (the car ran fine) and my local shop said it was a bad O2 sensor. They replaced it (I'm not sure whether it was genuine Volvo or not). A few weeks ago the car began running very rough and the engine light faulted. After shutting the car off and leaving it sit for a few minutes, it ran fine but the check engine light had faulted. The fault code indicated a bad 02 sensor. I reset the ECU and had no more trouble or engine faults until yesterday when everything repeated. Is it possible that this new 02 sensor is bad, or is this indicative of another electrical problem?
