Oil to run in a '92 745T with 140K?? 700 1992

Okay, I know there are many opinions out there on this. I have just bought a '92 745T. I run 20/50 in my other bricks, but this new one is a turbo. I religiously change oil at 3000 miles, and am not an aggressive driver. Should I continue with the 20/50, or should I change to something else. I appreciate the characteristics of synthetics, but am not sure that benifits are justified by the added cost; especially at 140K and no synthetic used previously.

Thoughts?
