I'm using 89 ocatane and a well touted fuel additive, when the tempetature rises above 60 or so I get the knocking and pinging when accelerating moderately , easing back on the throttle helps but really annoys anyone following, also it goes away under heavy throttling . I appreciate good gas mileage so I prefer the more sedate motoring style. Any products, tips that might help with the pinging, knocking? Thanks.
