Electrical sags and a No-Start in '89 240 200 1989

Greeting's Volvo owners,

My Volvo 240 wagon has electrical gremlins. I checked the battery with a meter
and cleaned the terminals. Still a No-Go. The brake lights come on weak, and then strong. Interior roof light does the same thing. Step on the brake pedal and the inside light goes out. It seems the whole electrical system is clogged.

Any clues witch component needs to be replaced.
