The transmission in my '85 245 has begun to show signs of its age. At cold start-up after being parked overnight, it will engage in D or P just fine - but after I drive about a block and come to a stop, it will disengage completely for about 10 seconds - just like it's in N. Then it works fine for the rest of the day. The fluid is clean and the pan magnet didn't have much stuck to it when I pulled the pan 2 years ago. It's at 200K, so I fear I'm looking at more than a "clean the pan and filter" problem. Anyone have suggestions?
