'Jobber' parts vs Volvo parts 700 1990

Hi;

Gonna do my front rotors and calipers on my '90 740. Volvo parts cost $675, "jobber" (generic) pars cost $350. Both costs are after core charge returns.

Why go with the "genuine" volvo parts when they cost almost twice more than generic?

Any opinions? Are the genuine articles worth twice the price, considering even the origianl front brakes on the 7 series are one of their weakest components in the first place?
