Help with rear wheel bearing repair

I think I need to replace a rear wheel bearing as there is a 'card in the bike spokes' sound coming from that area. Is this a common sound?
I've checked the FAQs and did not find anything. Can anyone help with the procedure or a link to a helpful website.
