B234F rocker valve cover 700

Well I was tightening the nuts on the B234F rocker valve cover, which is Cast aluminum, and damned if I didnt break off a corner. Its the top right front corner, the hole is intact with break running diagonally behind it.
I was torquing to the req'd 11 ft-lbs, and the gasket split at a hole and popped out from under the cover.

Can I fix this break with something like JB weld epoxy?

or Do I need to spring for the cost of a new cover?
