Several probs 700 1988

My 88 740 GLE turbo was stolen just over six months ago. I got it back 2 weeks ago not running.

After some minor tinkering, I got it running. It was running quite well for about 20 miles..............


1) MAJOR flooding prob. assume is the FPR after reeding the FAQ's. The car will run with all 4 injectors unplugged.

2) Oil WAY over full... Assume is fuel in the oil as there is no sign of water. Have no sense of smell so can't really verify it unless I do the flame test, but certain it's fuel. Think it's dumping so much that the rings are getting fuel washed & allowing fuel into the oil?

3) Plugs fuel foul almost as soon as I install them....... know this is related to the flooding prob., just added the info 2 show how bad.... in under 20miles, they're completely fouled (EXTREAMLY hard to start & keep running till replace plugs)

4) Oil smoke...... upon getting the car running, it was an unbeleivable mosquito killer. Changed the oil (was over full from fuel) & did a top engine cleaning, solved the prob,, however, after 20 miles, it's back over full again & taking oil back into the intake.

5) Brakes.... ABS functioning well, but pedal is extreamely soft to the floor even after a complete pressure bleed. (this one's really got me baffled) All 4 brakes are functioning, just not with the pressure that they should.



The Questions:
1) anything I should look for other than the FPR & the ECT sensor for the fuel prob?

2) Any suggestions as to where to start on diagnosing the brakes??

3) Should I adjust the detent cable pretty much the same as a GM vehicle? Never had to mess with one on a volvo mine was hanging loose with the front retaining nut hanging over the cable when I got it back.

4) I've got some trashed parts now & need to find a cheap place to find replacements. The sun roof motor will only partially close the sun roof & have to break out the screw driver to close it. Interior is now trashed (leather shot.. sniff sniff) missing door pannel, window control pads & other such items.

EDIT: forgot to add that the o2 sensor wires were burnt from laying across exhaust, I've already replaced it.
