Hello--
I'm new to this forum. My wife owns a 1996 960 sedan with about 105K miles. She recently had some extensive emissions work done on the car by a shop that purports to specialize in Volvos. Approximately one week later (and quite suddenly), her car began spewing gray exhaust in significant quantities and running very roughly. She took it back to the shop and they now tell her that she has major fuel injection problems. I'm not very mechanically inclined, but the news that she now has major fuel injection problems less than a week after having significant emissions work done seems a tad coincidental. Does anyone here know if emissions work on a 960 would entail messing with (note the highly technical terms!) the fuel injection system? Is anyone else suspicious given these circumstances? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. I also apologize in advance for my limited knowledge/expertise and my undoubtedly inadequate descriptions of the service that was performed on her car.
