My 745t makes a strange noise.... sometimes during acceleration, but I think more so on deceleration. It sounds from inside the car that it is coming from the turbo area. I thought it might have been the preheat box vibrating(it was a bit rusty) so I removed it but no change. I also found an old miniclamp on the turbo water inlet pipe that was just on there holding nothing and very loose that I thought could be vibrating but removing this made no difference either. The best description I can give of the sound is that it reminds me of someone holding a chain in their hand and shaking it.
There is no smoke or oil consumption and the performance is fine. In the meantime I'm still looking for loose metal under the hood. Thanks in advance.
