'89 765 Tic strut rod bushing update 700

I promised an update, so here goes:

I had been plagued with the persistent shudder in the front end during
moderate braking and was convinced it was the strut rod bushings. The stock
replacements wore out in 15 k miles, and they still allowed some shudder.
Nick Bauer sent me the red poly bushings, but I discovered they wouldn't fit
because of the length of my strut rod. SO he sent me the upgraded
rubberversion with more metal reinforcement in the center and, it looks to
me, a little more rubber thickness too.

The new bushings went in Wednesday night, and the car is now runnign like
it's on glass. First time since I 've owned it that all vibration is gone,
engine mounts replaced, front bushings replaced, and now with the new strut
rod bushings, even the brake shudder is gone.

I'm a happy camper. I'll be even happier when I hook up with my a/cbuddy and
we seal a couple oring leaks and repress my R12!
