Improving A/C with York Compressor +R12-Calling Chris Herbst &/ R.Haire 200 1982

Last year I had a new A/C compressor & R-12/Freon installed. At high temps 95+ It becomes weak. I realise that it is just the way these cars ('82 240 DL/4-cyl gas) are but is there a way to boost the A/C ? Will an extra electric fan in front of the condensor help or does that only apply to R134a ? any other suggestions? By how much would tinted windows help? Thanks in advance !
