Submitted this message yesterday, but it hasn't show up on the board, so here it is again.
I'm about to start on the second 240 in the family, one my daughter will be taking to college in the fall. On the first, a daily driver for me, I changed out the shocks/struts with Bilstein HD units. While this was a great improvement for my tastes, daughter thinks it rides way too stiff with the Bilsteins. So, they are not an option for her. On her car, what she wants is: less body roll when cornering, and a smooooooth ride. She will be driving the car in a city with rough streets, potholes, and also a bumpy freeway system with more potholes and jolting pavement joints. Also some washboard gravel roads when she's not at school.
My only experience is with the stock units and now the Bilsteins. What is the best combination of shocks/struts (Boge Turbo Gas, Boge Pro Gas, Bilstein Touring possibly, or other brands) and also anti-sway bars (25mm, or 23mm, or ??) to give her the comfy ride but also the flatter cornering she wants. If stiffer sway bars are recommended, how will that afftect the ride, if at all? Car is a 91 240 sedan.
Thanks in advance for your valued advice!
