Hi,

A few weeks ago or so, the stock stereo system seemed to go on the fritz. Only the front speakers would work, and you could barely hear any sound. Then, I think it went completely dead. Later that evening, I noticed that the dome lights in the car seemed to be real dim. I thought that the battery might be real low. I started the car, and it barely started as if the battery was almost dead. I was able to drive okay to my next destination which was only about a mile away. Then, later that night I started the car and it started up stronger and the lights seemed to be brighter. Then the engine light came on. I was able to get home okay. Later I found that the clamps for the Distributor cap were off, and the cap was loose, sitting on top of the distributor. I put it back on tight, and the car started great, the stereo worked like new again. The Engine light was back off. Everything has been fine until recently when I experienced a couple of strange things again. A couple days ago, I noticed that the dash lights and headlights seemed to be dim. I thought I was seeing things. I had the stereo on, and when I went to turn the volume up, the lights came on bright again! Strange. Then the next day or so I had the stereo and fan on at the same time and the stereo started to go out again. Only the font speakers worked, and the sound was faint. I turned off the Heater Fan, and the Stereo started to work again. Strange. Last night everything seemed to be work again.

One other note. The Airbag light comes on most of the time when I start the car and goes off after awhile. A mechanic read the computer but found no error codes.

What is going on?
