1985 240 wiring harness - Junkyard? 200

greetings bricksters,

I need to replace the main engine wiring harness in a 1985 240 non turbo. I have found a wiring harness in a u-pull-it junkyard that appears to be in good shape for $50.00 USD.

-How can I determine whether or not this is a "new style" revised wiring harness vs. an "old style" probably-as-bad-as-mine harness?

-What is the advisability of going this route as opposed to buying a new harness or maybe a used one from Dave Barton?
