Rough idle once warmed up 200 1989

Below is the link to my initial problems and a list of components I've replaced.

http://www.brickboard.com/RWD/index.htm?id=440576

Here is an update (I work on the car whenever I have a chance):
I recently replaced the main relay and that solved some of the problems.
Whereas before the car would idle rough when cold. After I replaced the main relay the car idles real nice and smooth. Whereas when I would give the car som throttle before and it would have a little difficulty revving. Now the car revvs smoothly.

It seems I'm in the home stretch with this beast (yes I'm a stubborn hardheaded SOB).

So as I've mentioned above, I have replaced the main relay in addition to all the other things I've show in the link above.

Now the problem is thus:
When I try to start the car it will try to catch too soon, as if the ignition timing is early. (At the risk of sounding condecending, but do understand I've had to explain this a million times, this car does *not* have adjustable ignition. So please, no suggestions for me to adjust my timing.)
Further, when at idle (and cold) the rpms will drop and the engine will stall, for no readily apparent reason. Yet when I depress the throttle, response is as crisp as I would expect it from and FI'd car. Still while cold the and when I rev the engine there will be puffs of black smoke coming out of the back. As if the engine is rich. Once warmed up, the engine will still stall at idle but there will be puffs of white smoke coming out of the back when I rev the engine.
Otherwise the engine runs as smooth as I could expect it to. Which is a far cry from what I have written in the link above.

Lastly I checked the OBD on this car in the #3 slot and I recieved a 1-2-1 code. Which if I recall correctly means that the engine is running at 10 degrees retarded to compensate for something. I dont have the manual infront of me so I cant say for sure.

One conclusion I can come to is that someone had removed and installed the flywheel incorrectly at some point. The other thing I can thing of is that there is a sqealing noise that eminates from the back section of the engine infront of the transmission. I suspect this has some sort of bearing on the timing. That is because the flywheel is what sends the signal to the crank sensor.

Any input on this?

Thanks
Steve M
