Hi everybody!
First af all, i would like to thank you all for great responses of my previous questions. They helped out a lot.
Now, here´s the status.
When visiting my mech. today, he told me that the clicking sound that my engine has startet to make was in the pistons but not the valves as i thought it would be. This is a guy who has been working on Volvos for over 25 yrs. so when he says something like that, i belive him.
He also told me that the best thing to do was to rebuild the lower part of the engine or get another one, but, engines like that (B230FT) are not many around here.
i think that i will rebuild the engine, but i would like to get it more powerful than the standard 160hp. So i ask for a recipe for a "GTI-killer" engine, what parts to use, what to change out, where to get´em. What to expect in Hp, Internet sites with parts etc.etc.etc.
Any information will be helpful.
Cost???? Tell me what to expect.
