Oil leak cause? 200

I have an oil leak near the rear of the engine. The oil filler cap also leaks a very small amount even with a new gasket. The flame trap has always been fairly clean and recently has been replaced. Could there be a clogging problem in the breater box itself? Also, if the leak at the rear of the engine is NOT coming form the vents on the bell does this mean it's not the rear seal? It seems to be dripping from the mounting bracket for the transmission lines more than anywhere else. Really appreciate any information. Brad '87 244 298,000 mi
