Im volvo child of the Fwd parents. We currently on 2 Fwd volvos which brings me to my concern. I had the opp. this weekend to keep a 91 940Turbo and drive it to see if I would like to purchase it. Umm needless to say I LOVE IT. My only 2 concerns is the mileage which is 141,000 and also this wierd noise. It really hard to explain it. The motor is extremely quite, and when the fan clutch is not engaged I can hear this sound the motor makes. Almost sounds like a diesel just a lot quiter. Kinda scared to say but almost like its "knocking" its most prevelant at idle and doesn't matter if its cold or hot. But I most also take into consideration that there is no valve tap and the motor it EXTREMLY quiet....other than the "knockin" Ohh by the way is 141,000 a lotta miles on the TUrbo 4cyl engines. I have all the books on it too. I'm really ready to sign execpt that lill noise. Some give me some direction...thanks BB's
