Thud in rear end at stop 200 1990

I just bought a '90 240 Wagon with ~150K miles (automatic tranny). The car is in great condition, recently had trailing arm bushings, tie rods, timing belt and other minor work.

The only weird thing I notice is when I come to a stop, often times I hear a thud and feel the car lurch a bit in the rear end. I don't hear it or feel it if I really ease into the stop, only if I stop abruptly.

I assume it is a bushing or bearing, but I wasn't able to find a previous thread with the same symptoms. Maybe U-joints are bad causing forward movement in drive shaft?
