OK, here's the problem. as some of you know, i have a slow coolant leak. I've been putting off filling it since i only drive 4 miles to work each day, and when i checked today, the overflow tank was BONE DRY!! i squeezed the radiator hoses and it sounded like there was coolant in the bottom hose, but not the top. i filled the overflow tank to the top, ran the car, and hten it seemed like the top hose was full. is there anything else i should do/be careful with? I'm leaving VA today for pennsylvania, and i don't want anything bad to happen along the way. I plan on having a spare jug full of coolant in the car. also, my coolant temp gauge is doing the typical 240 thing (not working all the time). if it's not working, is there anything else i can do, or just pray that i don't overheat and stop occasionally to check coolant level?
thanks for all the help!
