1986 240GL: Any way of Checking the ECU?? S.F. Bay Area 200

Hi,
I misdiagnosed my no-run problem and replaced the fuel pumps at 135000 miles. Yes I now have 35 healthy psi (up from 20-odd) when I run the pumps from the relay, but still no run.

I ran through the Bentley manuals check at the ECU connector and verified every check of resistance, voltage, continuity, etc at every pin. All information furnished TO the ECU seems up to snuff with the one exception that the resistance supposed to see from the Mass Air Meter was not dead-on and was slightly out of recommended range.

This left me with the only conclusion that my fuel pumps must be the culprits. At $170 to replace both and both filters, it was no big risk (sock on internal pump was torn anyhow).

My fuel pressure regulator is new as of last year when I finally diagnosed my Mass Air Meter was bad and replaced it with a rebuild.

I'm back down to two suspects, the ECU, or the Mass Air Meter (again!!). I can go through the very laborious process of removing a fuel injector and seeing if it is getting a signal to fire while turning over the engine (cause I know i have fuel, and my ignition is all happy with new parts..), or I can get my ECU tested.

Does anyone know of a S.F. Bay Area/ Peninsula/San Jose shop which can test my ECU? If not, does anyone have an ECU I can borrow to swap out. If the car runs, my ECU is bad, if not, most likely my "rebuilt" MASS Air Meter is once again bad (after only 20,000 miles??)

BTW, does anyone know what it is exactly which fails on the Mass Air Meter??

thanks Very much.
