Hard Starting in Cold Weather 200 1990

I need your diagnosis: When it's cold and the car is left out, it's difficult to start in the morning. It cranks, but doesn't catch until you apply the gas while cranking. Once running, it stays running just fine. Engine is in excellent shape with only 170K miles on it. I would appreciate any input!
