Thanks for the diagrams on the cruise control. While they were for the 700 which uses a vacuum pump, the basic logic was the same and I was able to troubleshoot the system.

I had suspected that it wasnt getting a signal from the speedometer and sure enough the diagram showed me the areas to test and it was the speedo imput.

I went to the wreckers and tested one in a car. It was good and in 5 min had the new module installed. She holds speed dead on now.
