In-Tank Fuel Pump differences 700

Well, I've come to the conclusion that my in-tank fuel pump has failed... it doesn't seem to make any difference when i unplug it, it doesn't make any noise, and i measured resistance across the terminals and it was open... So i pronounced it dead... What are the differences in the pumps... I noticed the turbo model takes a different pump compared to the naturally aspirated models... Is it better? would it be any benefit to my 740 16v?

Maybe that's what is causing my code 2-3-2 and bad mileage (one can only hope)
