Ok Gents, Let me start by saying that the forum has saved my brick more times than I care to remember. Thank you all.
Here is the deal: I am doing the common transmission swap that has been adressed many times in the forum, only inverted. My wife wants an automatic, no way around this. We have a M46 in our '82 245. After reading the numerous posts, I went to the boneyard and got the following parts:
AW70 from an '84 240 (only 111,000 miles, score!)
flexplate (w/teeth)
pedal assembly
kickdown cable
cooling lines
radiator
all assorted bolts
front half of driveshaft
OD solenoid
Can anyone think of anything that I missed?
I don't have the overdrive relay, will this plug into my old relay spot?
Should I just do the dremel tool trick with my relay?
Anyone Interested in a M46 with a brand new clutch?
Thanks
