Headlight conversion on my '84 240 200 1984

I am considiring doing a sealed beam headlight conversion on my '84 240. I will be able to put in H4 bulbs, but most of them have a considirably higher wattage than stock. My question is, does anybody know what is the highest wattage bulbs the wiring in my car could handle without melting? Thank you for any input. Long live the Brickboard!! -Logan
