Any effect of using regular unleaded gasoline 900 1991

I have a 91 940 Turbo (B230FT) with 183,500 miles
When does it needs rear main seal replacement?
And what type of services should be done at this time or soon will need?

I know the manual recommend premium gasoline, but at 185K miles do I have to fill it up with premium everytime? Are there any effect if I put in regular gasoline (87 octance) on a regular basis?

I would greatly appreciate comments from members
