No used tranny pans or tubes - shop will replace for $275. :(

Well after stripping dipstick coupler to AW71 pan after LOOSENING, I'm going to have a shop do it for $275 as I'm out in TN for another week. Bummer, they called all over and no junkyards would give them used pan and tube without buying whole tranny! Bastards! Now I'm just leery of how to service it again in 30K or so. I'll ask shop if any special locking sealant is going to be used, etc. This is nuts as I see this is a common prob. with these trannys although they are excellent trannys. Should I power flush it next time and NOT change filter? I did just put new filter in it when failure occurred. (It has 170K on it now and car runs great) Weird! Any thoughts would be great, I do not want to go through this again! Heinz
