'87 240, starting delays... 200 1987

87 245 with B230F.

A few days ago the car started taking longer than usual to fire during start-up cranking.

Today it took several seconds longer, and my wife called to say that it almost didn't start this afternoon.

HOWEVER!!!

If I release the key during the initial cranking, pause, then turn the key again, it seemsm to fire up almost instantly.

Is this a computer problem??

I have an '86 with the same engine that parts may interchange - what about computer modules, do they interchange b/w the '86 and the '87??

Thanks in advance

PS - we are planning a 2000 mile trip into the USA next week and want the silver ghost to be in fine form.
