onboard diagnostics centre 700

I have an 89 760 turbo wagon. I want to look at the onboard diagnostics centre and cannot find it. My model has the 'new' dash, and there are many other so-called enhancements. I see a black plastic box about 1/2" x 2" x 3" screwed onto the front of the air cleaner. Is that what I am looking for?
