Interior affairs - So what exactly DID change in '86? 200

I made a little treasure hunting trip to the local pick'n'pull today. The objective was to find a wiper relay, center console (hahahahaa) and possibly a drivers seat that wasn't completely demolished. Found the relay (and later found out that it wasn't even the problem), but the console & seat just left me puzzled.

I was under the impression that the seat & console changed in 1986 models. However, the only mostly intact console that I found from an '88 wagon had a small tray where the seatbelt holders used to be. The older models I saw had the beltholders in the middle, but the consoles were long gone. So, is there a diffrence between sedans & wagons, or do some 86's have the old style consoles??

Also, about the seats. The seatback foam changed in '86. Now, how can I tell apart the two styles? The only seats I found were in a '84 wagon, but they just didn't seem like the genuine article (diffrent fabric patterns). One had the newer headrest, and the other had the same pattern as my 86 but the headrest appeared to be of older style... aaargh! :-)
