Radio Wire Harness 200 1989

I can't get any sound out of any after market radio I put in my 240. There is a red wire that comes from the car that would attach to the amp wire to the new radio. The end of the red wire has a female plug that need to plug into something and I can't find it!!! I did figure out why my small clock hasn't been working all these years, it wasn't pluged in. Go figure. I don't believe this red wire is the main power source because the new radio comes on, it just doesn't produce any sound.

Any ideas?
