951 ECU benefits? 200 1989

I recently purchased a 951 ECU to see if it will fix my "odd" idling problem in my '89 244. After switching out the TPS, IAC, and checking for vacuum leaks, I'm hoping that this is my problem.

Are there any benefits to the 951 over the 561 ECU? I know that supposedly the 951 fixes cold start problems, but are there any performance increases or better fuel efficiency (mileage) from this unit?
