Hello brickheads,
I have a '84 240 with the B23F fuel-injected, non-turbo 4-banger. When I try to start up in the morning to go to work, the engine just spins. When I get home from work and have the time to check it out, car starts right up without hesitation. Usually don't have time to check it when it's happening, so I finally took it to a mechanic. He was able to confirm that there is no spark first thing in the AM. Before he can track the source of the trouble down, the problem goes away and the car starts like normal. He guesses the problem is either the distributor or the brain. I don't like $300 guesses. I want to take the guess work out of the equation, has anybody else experienced this and what was the solution.
Thanks in advance.
Bill
