Why I love my Beast 700

As posted below (Dies during right turns) I have a new appriciation for my 700 Volvo. Stopped at the Dealer this morning to pick up a power stage and while I was there I asked if they had time to replace my Hall sensor. Took it in at 1:00
while standing at the parts counter jawing with the guys the tech brings in parts from my distributor. Well after seeing what was wrong I along with everyone there was amazed the car ran. The aluminum base plate was broken the Hall sensor was being held on by ONE loose rivot. The plastic washer that was suppose to be on the shaft was gone. One of the parts guys ask me how bad was it running. I explained that it only died on hard right turns. All and I mean ALL of the dealers employees standing there had their mouths hanging open.
Well I put a new distributor in. Cost wise and time wise over all it was cheaper to replace the whole unit. It did have 257,500 miles on it. And since I plan on keeping the car for a while (till at least 300,000 miles)I decided to replace the unit with new. This is the one thing I love about the 700's the 200's are even better at continuing to run under conditions most cars would have died. And people think I'm nuts owning a car for 15 years.
