steering wheel shimmy while braking, but they're new brakes. Help? 700

I put new front rotors and pads on my "92 745 about 6000 miles ago. The old rotorss were severely warped, I think, because the steering wheel shook rather violently when I braked. I'm already starting to notice a slight vibration in the new brakes, most noticeably when I brake at higher speeds. Any suggestions on nipping this problem before I have to replace the whole thing again? Thanks
