Adjusting Wheel Bearings 700 1986

I'm getting my front rotors resurfaced and I want to replace the bearings at the same time. Two questions:

1. What size socket do I need for the big nut on the end of the hub?

2. What is the correct procedure for adjusting wheel bearings?
