Am I Killing the Alternator???? 900

I own a 91 940t which I just recently installed a 10' subwoofer with a 200 watt amp. I noticed that when I turn up the bass, everytime the subwoofer "hits" the headlights dim. This really dosent bother me that much, except for the fact that this happens like prolly hunderds of times a minute. Am I wearing out the volatage regulator or is there something else that happens when the amp asks for more power??? Is it nothing to worry bout?? Thanks in advance fellow bricksters!!!!
P.S. The trunk in this thing is sealed so good that it makes it sound like a movie theater!!!!! LOVE VOLVOS
