Opinion on Control Arm Stay Bushings 700 1992

I replaced my control arm stay bushings on my 745 last year with OEM Boge rubber bushings. My thought was to stay with OEM and they were half the cost of poly. Well now 20k miles later I was having the front end shimmy and slop again. I have a felt the 745 is a nice highway cruiser but like the tighter feel of my 240. So this time I decided to try the poly bushings to see if they would tighten things up. I put them on this evening and on first drive can definitely tell a difference, no more slop and more control feel. My brakes have a slight warp and with the rubber you could feel it in the steering wheel. With the poly you know it is there but it is not felt in the steering. So if you think you have warped rotors try upgrading to poly bushings first (even if it has not been that long since you replaced the bushings). Time will tell but so far I would definitely recommend upgrading to the poly bushings if you dont have them. I bought mine from FCP Groton and they are red, I noticed IPD's are blue (at twice the price of FCP's)in their ad. Anyone have an opinion on the red vs. blue?
