AW70 -> AW71...rear axle ratio differences 700

AW70 -> AW71...rear axle ratio differences
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just posting this as what is probably a silly question, but I am doing a B230 NA conversion to B230FT this summer, and as part of it I am also changing out the AW70 tranny that came in the 1990-745 with an AW71 tranny out of a 1990-745T.

The AW70 on my 745 comes with a rear axle ratio of 4.10. The AW71 for the 745 came with a rear axle ratio of 3.73. I am probably going to change out the rear axle in the long run, but need to put if off for a little while for financial and time reasons...

My question is probably painfully obvious, but here it is: will keeping the 4.10 ratio (versus the turbo's stock 3.73) will I end up with more top end speed at RPM, or with more low end torque?

Thanks!
