can't remove headlight assy to replace yellowy lense 200 1986

I know how to, it's just that the bolts are spinning when I unscrew the nuts(3 out of 4).
I got a new lense from FPC Groton, and it's just the front half of the assembly(clear plastic).It looks like it will need to be glued on, should I just leave the unit in place and break the old lense, then remove the pieces and then glue on the new lense.Or is there a way to hold the bolts from turning?
