Starter Going South.... 200 1990

Volvo friends...

The starter in my 1990 245DL(268,000 mi)is going south. We're at the place where I have to use the "tapping technique" every 5 or 6 starts. Is there a rebuild/repair kit for for these starters? Can I use the one out of my 1985 244DL(parts car)? Any tips on removing/replacing? Any words much appreicated.
