I've got an 84 245 that has been slowly losing oil pressure for about a year. I drove it last night for the first time in a month or so and the oil pressure was zero at idle and only about 18 at 60 miles an hour. I'm sure I need an oil pump and bearings but is it easier to drop the transmission and then the pan to pull the crank out or just pull the entire assembly and do it out of the car? My wife loves her Volvo so I need to get it done pretty quick. From some earlier posts it looks like getting the pan off in the car might be more work than removing the engine. Thanks for any and all help.
