What oil should i use in my 740 turbo wagon? 700

I have about 105,000 (168,000kms) miles on it. What oil should I be using? I have been told to run 15-40 or 10-40 weight and that 10-30 is for newer engines. Does anyone here use those quick-lube oil change places? Would you trust them?
